Sometimes you have to take a step out of your comfort zone and just try something new. That’s the basic story behind this short video.
I had always loved Alana’s work but I had never met her. I actually didn’t know anything about her as a person, I didn’t even know what she looked like. The only thing I knew was that she was a great photographer
Every project I have worked on I have known the subject/client. So one day I decided to take a risk and email Alana and ask if she would like to do an interview accompanied with a video. I honestly didn’t expect a response, but she replied saying she would be down to do it. Eventually we decided to meet in NYC and visit the History Museum and talk about photography.
Alana is one of the coolest people I have ever met, she is always traveling, shooting and looking for places to explore even if she doesn’t have a travel partner. She is a real free spirit who inspired me to keep moving and continue to work hard even when faced with failure.
So here it is, the first in series about photographers and their work. This is something I want to build on and expand, so I hope you enjoy it.
Alex.
This is awesome. Check out Alana and Alex’s work. I hope Alex makes more of these.
